STARTING OUT…

Have you ever read a book, attended a seminar, or being introduced to a program or scheme that really got your attention? Or you’ve even had an idea that seems like a very good one. You’re very much exited and triggered; I’m definitely starting this business, I’ve got to learn that skill, this is such a great idea… these things you say to yourself zealously;  you cook up a perfect plan and even went ahead to tell people about these goals. But then, you gradually begin to lose interest, It’s as if your body does not agree with your mind, you don’t feel that urge like you felt it again, and then slowly you begin to forget about the plans you’ve made, and you end up not achieving those things you were once exited about.
Starting out is not always easy, in fact, it is difficult and scary. You’re scared of failing, scared of what people are going to say; you don’t want to look silly if everything does not work out the way you envisioned, but you do not admit that you’re scared, instead you try to justify yourself with excuses; I’ve got a lot on my plate, I don’t have time, I’m so busy at the moment, no one is supporting me, I don’t have the resources I need… You’re not confident enough in yourself and in your plans, you convince yourself that you don’t have everything you need to start, so it’s better to delay as long as you can, or forget about the idea.
Its very easy to say, one day I’m gonna start that business, I’m going to learn that skill, read that book or write that novel, but the very difficult part is getting started, taking that first step. Starting is always hard and scary; you’ve got to start anyway. If you don’t start no one’s gonna start it for you; Take that first step, then another, and another… If you get negative feed backs from your first actions, take a pause, think about what you’ve learnt, build on it and continue. It’s all about acting, learning and building. You can start that which you want to, if you really want to, coz there’s really nothing stopping you from starting…So start!!!
